Last week I had a visit from a lovely client who had bought a painting of mine nearly thirty years ago. She told me that it had given her so much pleasure over the years that she wanted to buy another as a ‘significant’ birthday present for her daughter. We arranged a time for her, her daughter and her son-in-law to visit, and after viewing pretty much every painting in my store-room, they went away the proud owners of not one, but two paintings (and my client even bought a third for herself).
